Top streamers, a new mode and a multitude of viewers: Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig overview

Top streamers, a new mode and a multitude of viewers: Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig overview
Share:

In mid-March, an American YouTuber Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren won "Streamer of the Year" at The Streamer Awards, and just a couple of weeks later he stood out as the host of one of Fortnite's largest streamer tournaments. His event featured many notable content creators including xQc, Pokimane, hasanabi, Valkyrae and many more. In a new Streams Charts article, we will tell you about Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig, how many viewers it attracted, and whether the streamer will host similar tournaments in the future.

A key feature of Fortnite Monday was Zero Build mode, where participants could not use one of the game's basic mechanics — building walls, stairs and other structures. The gameplay became easier, so the tournament attracted even those streamers who are unfamiliar with Fortnite, such as hasanabi. It should be noted that Zero Build mode appeared in the second season of Fortnite Chapter 3.

In total, Fortnite Monday was attended by 15 teams of four people each. The squad led by Nmplol became the champion of the event, xQcOW's team took second place, and Pokimane's squad took third place.

Tournament Viewership Statistics

Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig accumulated 733.5K Hours Watched and attracted 266.7K Average Viewers in 2.75 hours being on air. The tournament was watched by almost 300K Peak Viewers. The biggest impact on the event's viewership statistics was made by xQc, who became the leader by Peak Viewers and Hours Watched. Second and third place in terms of viewership numbers are shared by Valkyrae and hasanabi, who amassed about 75K Hours Watched and just over 32K Peak Viewers.

Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig drew a huge audience and became one of the most popular Fortnite tournaments in 2022. The event became the leader by Average Viewers, but was behind February's Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl III ft. Fortnite in terms of Peak Viewers. However, the Hours Watched numbers of these tournaments are comparable considering the difference in their airtime.

It's fair to say that Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig and Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl III ft. Fortnite share first place in viewership statistics in 2022 at the time of publication.

Fortnite Monday hosted by Ludwig became one of the most popular streamer tournaments in the history of the game, but failed to lead in each viewership metric. Due to the success, Ludwig announced that he would host another Fortnite Monday event next week if his tweet reaches 50K likes. Maybe the second tournament of the series will be even more successful. At the time of publication the streamer's post got over 80K likes, which means that the new Fortnite Monday is not far off.
