Top Twitch Gaming Streamers of Q3 2023

Top Twitch Gaming Streamers of Q3 2023
Share:

Now that we’ve looked at the top IRL streamers of Q3, the fastest-growing streamers, and many more rankings, it’s time to look at the top Gaming Twitch streamers of Q3 2023. Gaming has been the bread and butter of Twitch since it began, and although content has diversified and Twitch has become an eclectic platform for all kinds of content, gaming content still hosts some of the biggest audiences on the site.

This ranking of Twitch Gaming streamers is presented in collaboration with HyperX, a brand known for high-quality gaming peripherals. Together with HyperX, we’re running the third season of the collaborative “Whose Avatar is That?” quiz game, where users have chances to win various peripherals as prizes for participating!

Streams Charts boasts a database of over 26M+ channels across the most popular live-streaming platforms in the world. From Twitch to YouTube and AfreecaTV, our users can browse our database for viewership statistics and filter their searches to exactly what they’re looking for. Our “content type” filter allows for searching for creators of specific content, such as gaming, IRL streams, Sports, Chess, and more. Explore Streams Charts advanced filters on our channels page.

Gaules, who was also our most-watched LATAM streamer of Q3, was the most-watched Gaming streamer on Twitch for Q3 2023. Gaules is known as a defacto official Portuguese-speaking channel for Counter-Strike events, often receiving comparable watch time to the official streams of the events. Q3 was a busy period for Counter-Strike, and Gaules covered all of the major events, like IEM Cologne, Gamers8, and more.

You may notice a discrepancy between Gaules’ watch time in this ranking compared to the LATAM streamers piece, this is because our gaming content type filter automatically removes the watch time of streams outside the gaming content type. Although Counter-Strike coverage was the large majority of his content for Q3, he also streamed some IRL content, and the watch time of this content was excluded from this ranking.

Taking second place in our ranking was fps_shaka, the biggest Gaming streamer from Japan. Fps_shaka is a variety gaming streamer, and during Q3 of this year he broadcasted games such as Street Fighter 6, Minecraft, and even some GTA V RP. GTA V roleplay is quickly becoming one of the biggest trends in live-streaming, especially on Kick, but early in Q3 the infectious wave of RP content reached Japan

VCRGTA is a new GTA RP server which launched early in Q3 specifically for Japanese content creators and streamers to collaborate with each other. As we saw in our fastest-growing streamers of Q3 article, this server has launched some VTubers into the limelight and given many aspiring streamers their big break. Not only has the server been beneficial for smaller streamers, but big names like fps_shaka have also experienced VCRGTA content becoming their most-watched broadcasts of the quarter.

In the final podium spot was Turkish-American creator tarik. The ex-professional Counter-Strike player has become wildly successful since moving to Valorant, quickly becoming one of the most well-known and established creators in the still-young Valorant scene. Tarik’s most popular content of the quarter was his coverage of the Valorant Champions 2023 event, of which he was the most-watched broadcaster for the entire tournament, with 9.99M Hours Watched.

Moving down the rankings, 한동숙 (handongsuk) of Korea received 18M Hours Watched during the quarter, largely thanks to his Lost Ark streams. The Korean’s channel has been consistently growing throughout the past few years, and he set many personal records in Q3 of this year. In early July, he set a new Peak Viewers record of 166K concurrent viewers during an IRL collaborative stream. A couple of months later in September, he set a new Hours Watched record for a single stream: 894K HW during a 16-hour-long Lost Ark marathon.

Moving back to America, k3soju, a TeamFight Tactics esports professional, reached 13.8M Hours Watched. The streamer celebrated a 121% increase in watch time compared to the previous period, and he achieved this essentially exclusively streaming TeamFight Tactics. The esports professional’s most-watched content of the quarter remains his broadcasts of tournament competitions, as fans of the discipline want to get a peak behind the curtain of what it means to be a pro gamer.

Cellbit, the second Brazillian streamer in this ranking, achieved 13.7M Hours Watched. The Brazillian streamer hosted a special two-shot campaign of his Paranormal Order series, a universe he developed himself for tabletop RPG content. The special campaign hosted at the end of September was one of his only forays into the English-speaking sphere of live-streaming, as he hosted an international cast of guest players.

Behind Cellbit was Jynxzi, the most-subscribed channel on the entire platform. Jynxzi is hugely popular and despite having a smaller following than tarik, Gaules, and Cellbit, his audience is extremely loyal. Jynxzi managed 13.2M Hours Watched during the quarter, with his watch time stemming from his Rainbow Six: Siege content. Although Jynxzi ranked only 7th per watch time for this ranking, he is one of the fastest-growing streamers in the industry and earned 1.2M new Followers during Q3

8th on this ranking was summit1g, a classic name in live-streaming. Summit created his channel in 2011, and he still ranks as one of the largest and most-watched streamers on the platform. He reached 11.8M HW for the quarter and the majority of this watch-time stemmed from his Sea of Thieves gameplay.

The penultimate streamer of this ranking was eliasn97. Elias also ranked on our most-watched IRL streamers ranking, having hosted a special football event in Mainz earlier in the quarter. However, his gaming content is still hugely popular and he received a significant amount of watch time thanks to his coverage of the recently released EA Sports FC 24 title.

Last but not least, だるまいずごっど (darumaisgod) was the final streamer of our top 10. Thanks to the aforementioned RP server for Japanese creators, GTA V was accountable for the majority of his watch time and it was by far his most popular content during this period.

Most Popular Gaming Twitch Streamers of Q3 2023Most popular Gaming Twitch streamers of Q3 2023, by Peak Viewers

OhnePixel was the most popular Gaming streamer of the quarter thanks to his famed $100K CS:GO case opening stream. The stream actually featured the German creator opening $130K worth of CS:GO cases, and in true gambling fashion this turned into $4K worth of skins by the end of the 6-hour stream. The stream became his most-watched and most popular content ever, setting new personal records for his channel.

The following three streamers, Gaules, tarik, and Cellbit, all achieved their Peak Viewers thanks to their respective esports event coverage and tabletop RPG campaigns. Gotaga, a French streamer, reached his 179K Peak Viewers supporting his own Valorant team in a match. He founded the esports organisation Gentle Mates, alongside streamers Squeezie and Brawks, and he reached his PV while watching his team overcome the competition to win the EMEA Valorant Challengers Ascension event of 2023, meaning they will compete in the tier-1 scene of the discipline next year.

American streamer KaiCenat reached 150K Peak Viewers during a 24-hour marathon broadcasting while playing NBA 2K24. Although the American is mainly known for his Just Chatting content, he still receives significant viewership for his Gaming content.

Russian-speaking creator Nix reached his PV of 132K during his coverage of the Bali Major Dota 2 event. Although he does not exclusively broadcast community casts of events, this kind of content is by far his most popular. ElSpreen of Argentina reached 124K PV during the Minecraft segment of his recent 24-hour marathon stream, which received over 2M hours of watch time in total.

Finally, the second esports organisation founder of our ranking, Kamet0 received 121K PV during his community cast of the RLCS 2023. The streamer founded Kameto Corp in early 2020 with Kotei, before the organisation rebranded itself to Karmine Corp later that year. He reached his PV of Q3 while watching the Semifinals of the Rocket League World Championship, where Karmine Corp lost 2:4 against compatriot French organisation Vitality.
