The process for blocking channels on Twitch will be changed. Twitch VP of trust and safety Angela Hession Angela Hession told the Washington Post about this. In the near future, banned streamers on Twitch will receive emails with more specific reasons for bans, which might even include clips proving violations of the platform's rules, she said.
“Safety is a journey, and this is a number-one ask from our community. So we’re looking at how we can attach more details for people to understand — like the video itself. That’s something we’re definitely working on.”

On June 27, 2020, the popular English-speaking streamer Herschel Drdisrespect Beahm received a lifelong ban on Twitch. According to the creator, he was told about the specific reason for the blocking only in 2021. Of the more relevant examples, one can recall the wave of bans for using the word “cracker”, which can be perceived as a racial insult to white people. Perhaps the upcoming update, which Angela Hession mentioned, will save Twitch of such incidents.
Previously, Twitch improved the function of filing complaints by making the interface more convenient and intuitive, and also opened a special page where users can appeal and monitor the appeal process.
