Most-watched Twitch horror games during Halloween 2025

During Halloween 2025, Twitch transformed into a full-on festival of fear. Thousands of streamers and millions of viewers dove into the world of the year’s most popular horror games, from co-op thrillers to atmospheric indie nightmares. We’ve rounded up the top titles that dominated the platform and set the perfect spooky mood for horror fans everywhere.

Path of Exile

The most-watched horror title on Twitch was Path of Exile, a cult-favorite action RPG developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. While Path of Exile isn’t a horror game in the traditional sense, many streaming platforms still classify it as one. The game’s dark, atmospheric world is filled with classic horror elements, from ghosts and demons to skeletons and plenty of blood.

To mark the Halloween season, the developers rolled out their traditional in-game event packed with themed microtransactions. Players could grab “spooky” cosmetic items and skins for their characters and weapons, from a demonic tail and ghost dog companion to a severed hand weapon and other eerie additions.

The Halloween event gave Path of Exile a massive boost on Twitch: the category racked up more than 3.1 million hours watched in just two days (October 31 - November 1). That’s a staggering 465% increase compared to its usual numbers. Both average and peak viewership spiked at similar rates, and the number of active streaming channels nearly reached 2,700.

Voices Of The Void

Voices Of The Void is another standout horror title that found itself in the spotlight this Halloween. In the game, you take on the role of a scientist stationed at a remote observatory in the Swiss Alps. Your mission is to intercept, analyze, and transmit mysterious cosmic signals while keeping your equipment running and tending to your basic needs — eating, sleeping, and repairs. As you collect data and maintain the facility, you can’t shake the feeling that something dark and unseen is watching from the shadows.

At first glance, Voices Of The Void stands apart from most horror games in terms of gameplay, yet it masterfully delivers a sense of mystery and creeping tension. That atmosphere made it a favorite for many creators’ Halloween stream marathons. During the holiday, American streamer Tomato and several Western VTubers broadcasted the game to eager audiences. On Twitch, Voices Of The Void saw its average viewership and total watch hours surge by nearly 400% — the second-largest growth among all horror titles in the top 10.

No, I'm not a Human

This Halloween, many thrill-seekers gravitated toward No, I'm not a Human, a psychological survival horror game from the indie studio Trioskaz. The story of I'm not a Human set in a post-apocalyptic world where the scorching sun makes daytime survival impossible, players take refuge at night — only to be visited by mysterious guests. Some are ordinary survivors, while others are impostors in disguise. Using clues and deduction, you must uncover who’s who and deal with the fakes before it’s too late.

On Halloween, I'm not a Human saw a major boost on Twitch — total watch hours, average viewership, and peak audience all jumped by roughly 200% compared to normal days. The game also caught the attention of top creators like Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker and Lucas "Squeezie" Hauchard, who both streamed it during the holiday.

R.E.P.O.

R.E.P.O. saw a major comeback on Halloween. The survival horror title from Swedish studio Semiwork was one of the biggest hits earlier this year, ranking among the top 10 most-watched new releases in the first quarter. While its buzz had slowed down over time, Halloween brought it back into the spotlight as gamers and streamers revisited the terrifying co-op experience.

Between October 31 and November 1, the average number of Twitch channels streaming R.E.P.O. jumped by nearly 300%. The game saw a surge in popularity among VTubers, with creators like ironmouse and several of her Japanese peers streaming it during the holiday. Many of them teamed up for co-op sessions and collaborative broadcasts, helping the title regain momentum on Twitch.

Phasmophobia

Many Twitch streamers turned to Phasmophobia this Halloween — the popular multiplayer survival horror game developed by the British studio Kinetic Games. In Phasmophobia, you and up to three teammates investigate haunted locations using tools like EMF detectors, spirit boxes, and thermometers to identify ghosts. The longer you stay, the more active and dangerous the spirit becomes. The most-watched Phasmophobia stream on Halloween came from Insym, and Krystalogy.

The Most Popular Horror Games on Twitch — Halloween 2025

The top 10 list of horror games on Twitch also featured titles like Dead by Daylight, Hunt: Showdown 1896, Silent Hill F, and DayZ. Although they perfectly match the horror theme, viewer activity in these categories didn’t spike much during Halloween. These games are consistently popular year-round, and their stats showed little to no growth over the holiday — in some cases, they even dipped slightly.

Other notable titles that didn’t make the top 10 include Luigi’s Mansion, Little Nightmares III, and Escape the Backrooms. Overall, indie and co-op games dominate Twitch during Halloween, drawing the most attention from both streamers and viewers.
