March was a busy month in the streaming world, with many events also affecting Twitch. For example, in Spain, the debut season of the Kings League concluded, bringing together former football stars and Spanish-speaking streamers.
The first beta tests for Diablo IV were held, helping the game to break into the top 10 categories on the platform, while Mexican female streamer rivers_gg maintained her leadership position in the women's streamer rankings. See the Streams Charts report for a complete summary of Twitch viewership in March.

As usual, Just Chatting was the top category last month, generating over 275 million Hours Watched in March. North American streamers HasanAbi, xQc, and KaiCenat were the leaders in the category among channels. British streamer Tubbo also contributed significantly, holding a subathon from March 1-27 that viewers dubbed "Tubbathon," with much of the event taking place in the Just Chatting category.

Only League of Legends and Grand Theft Auto V among gaming categories generated over 100 million Hours Watched. The regular season of LEC from Riot Games ended in the MOBA, while other regional leagues are in full swing, and GTA V has maintained its leadership position for dozens of months in a row.
Minecraft climbed to sixth place, generating 25% more Hours Watched than in the previous period. At the beginning of the month, the popular Twitch Rivals Squid Craft 2 event took place, bringing together Spanish-speaking streamers and famous representatives from North America.

Diablo IV deserves special attention. The game's official release will only take place in June, but fans could participate in beta tests of the fourth part of the cult video game series in March. The most popular Twitch channels in March 2023
The leader among the channels is the official Kings League channel, the Spanish football media league, which involves both former professional football players (Ronaldinho, Iker Casillas, Sergio Aguero) and giants of Spanish-speaking streaming (Ibai, TheGrefg, DjMaRiiO).

In March, not only the regular season of the league ended, but also its final part. On March 26, the four best teams determined the champion at the "Camp Nou" stadium in Barcelona in front of more than 92,500 fans. This made Kings League the biggest streamer-run live event ever.
If we only look at the streamer ranking without considering organizational channels, it is worth highlighting loltyler1 and Trymacs. The biggest alpha on Twitch, American streamer loltyler1, moved to Germany in the middle of the month to experience a European Solo Queue in League of Legends. This significantly influenced the size of his audience, almost doubling the average number of stream viewers.
German content creator Trymacs held the NoFood Challenge from March 11th to 18th, where he and some other famous media personalities in Germany went without food for seven days. The event generated 4.4 million Hours Watched, which accounted for 72% of Trymacs' overall performance for the month.
Top Twitch female streamers in March 2023
For the third month in a row, the most popular female Twitch streamer is Mexican rivers_gg. The girl took an active part in the Kings League, where she was chosen as the president of the PIO FC club. Unfortunately, the team did not make it to the final stage of the league, finishing tenth in the regular season.
Second place for the month was rightfully taken by American QTCinderella. On March 11, the second ceremony of The Streamer Awards took place at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. The event was organized by QTCinderella herself, and many popular North American streamers attended it. Winners were determined in 26 categories, and the leading award, "Streamer of the Year," went to Kai Cenat.

The Kings League became the leader in the top broadcasts by Peak Viewers, with over 1.1 million people following the football confrontations during the peak moment of the Twitch stream.
