October was full of esports tournaments and various streaming events. The launch of a new RP server for ARK: Survival Evolved and Halloween-themed broadcasts were particularly noteworthy. Last month, the total watch time of Twitch amounted to 1.77 billion, a 7% increase compared to September. Additionally, the Average Viewers number on the platform increased by 4%. October was especially successful for streamers NixxCry, and Kai Cenat as they set various viewership records on their channels.

The League of Legends grew by 52.4% compared to previous months, reaching 128 million HW, thanks to the broadcast of the World Championship taking place in South Korea. Grand Theft Auto V is down to the third spot in the ranking, previously occupying the second place.

Dota 2 increased its HW number by 82% in a month, which helped the game climb from sixth to fourth place in the Twitch ranking. The International 2023 held in Seattle played a significant role in this.

League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike, and FC24 moved up several positions

Counter-Strike, which previously held ninth place, climbed into the Top 5. In October, Valve's shooter accumulated 64 million HW, an increase of 78% compared with the previous month. Such significant growth is attributed to the hype surrounding the release of Counter-Strike 2, which took place at the end of September.

Valorant, FC24, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, and Fortnite are in the second part of the ranking. Almost all of them had similar watch time numbers as the previous month. Valorant experienced a slight decline (-15%), while the football simulator FC24 saw a 39% increase. It's worth noting that FC24 was released at the end of September, which explains its significant October growth.

Most watched Twitch channels in October 2023

Riot Games was the most popular Twitch channel in October. The channel accumulated 13.1 million HW during the month, thanks to the broadcasts of the 2023 World Championship. Just slightly behind was the dota2ti channel, which hosted the official English-language broadcasts of The International 2023.

American streamer Kai Cenat takes third place in the ranking. In October, he significantly increased his Airtime, resulting in an 80% increase in HW compared to September. A major contributor to this result was Kai's "prison marathon", during which he set a channel record for Hours Watched in a single broadcast. This event started on October 27 and will last for seven days.

One of Japan's most popular streamers, fps_shaka, claims fourth place in the ranking with a total of 9.8 million HW. Throughout almost the entire month of October, he streamed ARK: Survival Evolved, specifically participating in a private RP server called Vaultroom alongside other popular Japanese streamers and VTubers.

Russian streamer Nix claims fifth place in the ranking. Thanks to the community casting of The International 2023, he managed to accumulate 9.1 million HW. By the way, on the final day of the tournament, he set a channel record for Peak Viewers, reaching 246K concurrent viewers.

Spanish streamer ibai accumulated 8.9 million HW, securing sixth place in the ranking for October. Throughout the month, he entertained his viewers with the community casting of the 2023 World Championship and broadcasts of Kings League matches. The channel dota2ti_ru, which hosted the official Russian-language broadcast of The International 2023, accumulated slightly fewer HW than the Spanish streamer.

Gaules, a popular Brazilian Counter-Strike streamer, takes eighth place in the ranking. In October, he — as usual — covered numerous events, such as IEM Sydney 2023, Roobet Cup 2023, and BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2023, as a result, he accumulated 7.2 million HW. It's worth noting that Gaules had 10.4 million HW, securing the top position in the channel ranking back in September.

Japanese streamer kato_junichi0817 and American streamer HasanAbi, with 6.5 million and 5.7 million HW, respectively, round out the ranking of the most-watched Twitch channels. In October, the former actively played Apex Legends, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, and Rust, while the latter engaged in discussions with viewers about the latest global news, as per his usual content.

Ibai hosted the most popular stream in October among all Twitch streamers. At the end of the month, he covered the Ballon d'Or 2023 award ceremony and gathered over 691K Peak Viewers. Despite the excellent result, it is still far from the Spanish streamer's channel record of 3.44 million Peak Viewers.

Just slightly behind ibai is another Spanish streamer, xCry. Towards the end of October, he conducted a special pre-Halloween stream, attracting 624K Peak Viewers.

Most watched female Twitch streamers in October 2023

The most popular female Twitch streamer once again was Rivers_gg from Mexico. In October, she accumulated 1.47 million HW, nearly matching her results from September. Interestingly, it was Rivers_gg who hosted the most popular stream of the past month among females: her stream of the Queens League semifinals gathered over 100.2K Peak Viewers.

Four female VTubers — saddummy, akamikarubi, ironmouse, and Jingburger — take second to fifth places in the ranking. Interestingly, all four of them showed quite similar viewership numbers, ranging from 1.28 million to 1.33 million HW. The title under the name 'Suika Game', which gained popularity through TikTok videos, was particularly in demand. They also played Valorant, ARK: Survival Evolved, World of Warcraft, and more.

Dda_julilpaaaaaamira2chamcham2, and bagi are in the second part of the ranking. Almost all of them held game broadcasts on Lost Ark, Minecraft, and other titles. Only mira primarily hosted streams in the Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches section. One should also note that Jinnytty, Kyedae, and JenFoxxx left the top 10 female content creators of the platform.
