At Twitch Rivals, content creators usually compete in well-known games like Call of Duty or Minecraft, but in October the platform hosted a series of unusual tournaments in party games such as Uno, Jackbox Party, Pico Park, and Gartic Phone. In the new article, Streams Charts will review the results of these competitions and determine the game most favored by the viewers, as well as the statistics shown by different regions.
Competitions in UNO card game
In October, Twitch held two tournaments for the online version of the UNO card game. The first of these was the Doritos Disruptor Series, which took place on October 10 with the participation of European content creators, with the Danes being the most famous among these.
Twelve streamers formed teams of twos and raffled off $10K. The tournament stood out due to having been held with the support of two popular Danish YouTubers – Enzo & Milan Knol. They also held the top broadcasts in terms of the number of viewers: enzoknol gathered 6K Peak Viewers, while his brother Milan was watched by 1K Peak Viewers.
The second UNO tournament, Twitch Rivals UNO Party España, was an exclusive event for Spanish-speaking streamers. The competition took place on October 22nd and brought together sixteen well-known content creators from Spain and Latin America. The prize fund turned out to be three times larger than at the European event: $30K.
Illojuan became the most popular streamer of the event, gathering 22K Peak Viewers. Following him was Thegrefg with 18K Peak Viewers. The event itself attracted more than 84K Peak Viewers, which is the best result among the tournaments in our selection of party games. The tournament is also in the lead in terms of Hours Watched: 248K.
Twitch Rivals Pico Park – A new co-op game similar to Nokia’s Bounce
Pico Park is a cooperative game for a group of two to twelve people in which players must work as a team to advance through the level. The game was fun enough to be chosen as a Twitch Rivals competitive title.
Twitch Rivals Pico Park Party ANZ was held among streamers from Australia and New Zealand, with the participation of a total of 24 content creators. The event was watched by 14.6K Peak Viewers, and the official Twitch Rivals channel became the most popular channel of all, followed by content creator berticuss with 947 viewers.
Competitions in Jackbox – featuring Mark Hoppus from blink-182
Twitch Rivals Friday Night Bites ft. Mark Hoppus & Jackbox Party Pack 8 was another event in our selection, which was mainly attended by North American streamers. Jackbox Party includes a diverse selection of mini-games, such as quizzes or Pictionary-type games.
Since the game allows the participation of a limited number of players, only eight people participated in the event. One of them was musician Mark Hoppus (one of the founders of blink-182) who streamed the event on his channel. The mini-tournament gathered 34K Peak Viewers. The official channel became the most popular one with 29K Peak Viewers.
Draw-and-guess – the Gartic Phone tournament
The last event on our list was the Twitch Rivals Spooky Gartic Showdown LATAM. The tournament was held in the Gartic Phone game, in which players had to guess what exactly was drawn. The participants consisted of ten Spanish-speaking content creators.
The event was watched by 53K Peak Viewers. Showdown's top streamer is juansguarnizo, one of the most popular Spanish-speaking content creators worldwide, who gathered 37.5K Peak Viewers. Following him is the official Spanish-language channel twitchrivals_es with 8K Peak Viewers.
As a result, Twitch Rivals UNO Party España became the most popular out of events organized “for friends” due to the huge number of popular content creators. In three hours, the tournament generated 248K Hours Watched and 84K Peak Viewers.
Twitch Rivals adapts to the needs and interests of people from different regions and is also not afraid to experiment with its disciplines. Traditionally, the most popular are the events that gather some of the more popular streamers of the platform. Attracting the most attention in October were the Spanish-speaking content creators, who tend to gather a huge number of viewers even on their regular streams.
