TwitchCon Europe 2023 came to an end this last weekend in Paris. Starting on July 8th, the two-day event saw streamers from all over the world gather at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. TwitchCon Paris marks the third TwitchCon to be held in Europe since 2019. The 2020 TwitchCon Amsterdam was delayed due to the Coronavirus and was finally held in 2022.
Fans, streamers, and generally attendees flocked to Paris for the third iteration of TwitchCon Europe. 1247 different channels went live to cover the weekend of the gaming convention, and Streams Charts has all the data.
TwitchCon Paris 2023 viewership statistics
TwitchCon Paris 2023 was streamed for collectively over 4.1K hours throughout the weekend. The event saw not only industry titans stream but many smaller amateur content creators contribute to the coverage of the event. The numerous streams covering the event accumulated a total of 2M Hours Watched; 1.1M of these hours came from the first day of the event, which also peaked at 143K Peak Viewers.
Despite the huge amount of channels covering the event, viewership was healthy for all involved with an average of almost 250 viewers tuning in to each stream. This figure is almost ten times larger than the Average Viewers per channel for all of Twitch in June (26.4).
TwitchCon Paris was, as you’d expect, covered by a large array of European Twitch streamers. Although many celebrity creators from North America and Asia attended and streamed the event, a larger amount of smaller local European creators covered the event. English was the large majority for the event, with 60% of Hours Watched coming directly from English-language streams.
However, 20.9% of the total Hours Watched were due to French streamers. TwitchCon Paris was of course a must-cover for any upcoming and ambitious streamer from France. France’s neighbour Germany also tagged along, making up 11.1% of the total Hours Watched. Spanish and Russian rounded out the list, and many other European languages like Dutch, Italian, and Polish were present in the data.
Biggest streamers of TwitchCon Paris 2023
As we covered in our Day 1 recap for the event, EsfandTV was the largest content creator for the event. EsfandTV accumulated 272K Hours Watched for the weekend, 130K of these coming from Day 1. Nmplol took the top spot of the Peak Viewers subset with 28.7K concurrent viewers. Esfand was close behind with 25.3K Peak Viewers, both EsfandTV’s and Nmplol’s peaks being reached on Day 1 of the event.
The official Twitch channel also received solid viewership, the eponymous channel for the platform covered the various Twitch Rivals events taking place and announced some updates coming to the platform, keep an eye out for our piece covering these changes.
French streamer ZeratoR also attended and amassed 143.7K Hours Watched throughout the weekend. One of the largest French streamers on Twitch, ZeratoR was a large contributor to French making up 20% of the total Hours Watched for the event. Jinnytty, a South Korean streamer who streams in English, was the only female streamer to make it to the top of the Parisian broadcasts. Finally, German streamer SkylineTVlive was the sole German streamer to make the cut. The streamer from Frankfurt am Main had some of his most-watched streams ever while at the event. Compared to the other streamers who made the list, SkylineTVlive remains one of the smallest creators to do it. Esfand has 1.2M Followers on Twitch, ZeratoR is followed by 1.5M, and Jinnytty is quickly approaching her 1M Followers milestone. SkylineTVlive stands out with only 139K. Mr. Wolke must be on cloud nine after this success.
Biggest female streamers of TwitchCon Paris 2023
Looking at the top female streamers of the event, we can see just how much Jinnytty had to outperform her peers in order to make the fourth top spot overall, with a 100K Hours Watched gap to her next-closest rival. Nevertheless, looking at the top female streamers for the event we can see just how important TwitchCon Europe is for European streamers.
Besides Jinnytty every one of the top female streamers was European. Vanessa_Lopez_Official took second place. The Portuguese-born streamer is also a professional DJ and model, she streams every day and collected 22.6K Hours Watched throughout the weekend.
German streamer RevedTV was stuck in the middle with 22.3K Hours Watched, closely followed by BagheraJones and LittleBigWhale, two local French streamers with 13.2K and 12.9K Hours Watched, respectively. Lydiaviolet was the only one to make the Peak Viewers top five but not the Hours Watched list. The British streamer reached 5.7K Peak Viewers during the second day of the event.
TwitchCon remains one of the most exciting events of the year, not only for attendees and spectators but also as an opportunity for streamers. Whether invited and flying across the world or having simply attended as a local, TwitchCon represents a unique streaming opportunity for all.
