The number of followers on Félix xQcOW Lengyel's Twitch channel exceeded 10 million on February 16. The Canadian creator of Luminosity Gaming became the fifth streamer on the platform to reach such a large fan base.
Richard ‘Ninja’ Blevins was the first content creator to reach 10 million followers on the platform in August 2018. Later, Raul ‘auronplay’ Alvarez, Rubén ‘Rubius’ Doblas and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney reached this number. The closest streamer to breaking this mark is Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek.
Lengyel started his streaming career broadcasting League of Legends before moving on to Overwatch and becoming a professional player. First, the Canadian played for DatZit Gaming, Denial eSports and Arc 6, and then joined Dallas Fuel in the Overwatch League. However, due to repeated violations of the rules of the league, he did not stay there for a long time.
XQc also competed in the Overwatch World Championship for Team Canada in 2017, 2018 and 2019. At the Overwatch World Cup 2017, his team reached the finals, where they lost to the South Korea, but Lengyel was still named MVP. Prior to joining Luminosity Gaming, xQc was the creator of the Sentinels organization.
It should be noted that xQcOW became the most-watched streamer on Twitch in 2020 and 2021, and continues to hold the title in early 2022.
