Streams Charts continues to sum up August 2022. In a new article, we'll tell you about the most watched YouTube Live channels, as well as review the Top 10 game channels and non-multistreaming channels.
The most watched YouTube Live channel is, as usual, BillionSurpriseToys — English Kids Songs & Cartoon, which hosts approximately 30 broadcasts of cartoons and music videos for children concurrently and virtually around the clock. It racked up 37.9 million Hours Watched in August, down 16% from July.
Its closest pursuer, Lofi Girl, is more than twice as far behind, accumulating only 17 million Hours Watched. The Lo-Fi music channel’s HW metric dropped by 11% over the month, but Lofi Girl moved up three spots in the ranking. The Indian music channel Chanda Pop Songs rounds out the Top 3 most watched channels for the second month in a row. However, its Hours Watched in August were 25% lower than in July.
Aaj Tak takes fourth place in the ranking, but is the leader among the channels in the category News & Politics. Its Hours Watched number, however, dropped by 8% over the month. The other channels with political and news broadcasts (Zee News, Todo Noticias, ARY News and Citizen TV Kenya) rank six to nine places, respectively. ARY News showed the largest decline (-57% of Hours Watched over the month), while Citizen TV Kenya, on the contrary, showed the largest increase (+67% of Hours Watched over the month).
The Philippine entertainment channel ABS-CBN Entertainment, which demonstrated a 28% decrease in Hours Watched in August totaling just over 14.1 million HW, closes the Top 5 of the August ranking, dropping by one position. The Relaxed Guy music channel has retained its tenth place in the ranking, despite a 21% decrease in HW number.
Most Watched YouTube Gaming Channels in August 2022
The leader among YouTube Live game channels in August is BeamNG Speed with its BeamNG.drive streams. Over the month, its metric rose by 5% to 7.5 million HW. In second place with the result of 6.8 million HW is the Vietnamese Liên Quân Mobile eSports - Garena channel, which hosted Arena of Valor esports broadcasts in August. It should be noted that the HW metric of the channel increased by almost 180% over the month.
The Top 3 channels in the category is rounded out by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Official with the result of 6.3 million HW. In August, the channel broadcast various regional MPL and MDL leagues. Next comes MPL Indonesia, which accumulated 5.2 million HW thanks to broadcasts of local MPL leagues in August.
The Top 5 is rounded out by a ML:BB esports channel. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia broadcast MPL ID and MDL ID matches and accumulated more than 3.5 million HW in a month. In sixth place is PUBG MOBILE Indonesia, which had 60% more HW in August than in July.
The streamer IShowSpeed's HW metric rose by 5% over the month to nearly 2.9 million HW, which helped him move up three positions in the ranking. VEGETTA777, another streamer, accumulated 53% fewer HW in August and dropped from second to the tenth place in the Top.
Eighth and ninth places in the August rankings are taken by the Call of Duty League and CBLOL esports channels. The HW number of these channels decreased by 6% over the month.
Most Watched Non-Multistreaming YouTube Channels in August 2022
Most of the channels covered above have achieved their impressive viewership statistics thanks to several or even dozens of concurrent broadcasts. However, there are also channels on YouTube Live that achieve solid figures without multistreaming.
The most watched of these channels is Citizen TV Kenya, which ranked 9th in the overall top. In second place is the former professional kickboxer Andrew Tate, who hosted a single 136-hour broadcast in August and accumulated more than 8.6 million Hours Watched. We should note that the scandalous four-time world champion has been banned from Facebook and Instagram, and in late August he was also blocked on YouTube for violating the platform's policy.
The Top 3 of the month is closed by the religious channel Ir Kelly Patricia OFICIAL / Instituto Hesed. It accumulated more than 8.6 million Hours Watched in August, a 37% increase over July. The religious blogger Bispo Bruno Leonardo improved his HW metric by 11% over the month and moved up from seventh to fourth place in the ranking. The Top five of the most watched YouTube Live channels without multistreaming is rounded out by the politician ФЕЙГИН Live, whose HW number virtually unchanged over the month.
Next is Pandit Pradeep Ji Mishra Sehore Wale with People & Blogs category broadcasts. The MPL Indonesia esports channel is only eighth in this Top. The entertainment channel Big Brother Bird as well as news channels SBT RS and Band Jornalismo are also in the Top 10 of the most watched non-multistreaming channels.
