The French-speaking streamer community regularly holds various events that gather hundreds of thousands of viewers. The most recent of these was ZLAN 2022, the fourth event in the series organized by Adrien ‘ZeratoR’ Nougaret, one of the most popular streamers. What is ZLAN?
ZLAN is one of the main streamer series that has been organized by ZeratoR since 2019. The event was originally planned as a tournament, where participants can not only have fun and compete for decent money, but also to feel nostalgic for the times when LAN were not large-scale competitions, but local events.

Lyon hosted the 2022 event, and spectators were able to attend it for the first time on the final day. More than 200 streamers & players, split into trios, participated in the event. In ZLAN they competed in a wide variety of games, from casual to more hardcore. Among the disciplines were Elden Ring, Age of Empires, Apex Legends, Rocket League, Worms W.M.D., Fall Guys and many others.
The prize pool was over €51K, of which the great share was taken by the winner. The best trio of the event was GOOLS made up of Leaf, Shuh and Oslo: in the final match they defeated Mercatoed in Worms and won €45K.
ZLAN 2022 Viewership Statistics
In terms of the scale, ZLAN is behind another popular event from ZeratoR — Z Event — but this does not stop the tournament from gathering hundreds of thousands of spectators and increasing the audience every year. The tendency has continued this time as well.
The competition ran from April 8 to 10 and was broadcast for a total of 28 hours and 45 minutes. In that time, viewers spent a total of over 5.3 million hours watching the broadcasts, and the event itself attracted 185.4K Average Viewers.
The biggest excitement happened on the first day of the tournament, when all the top content creators of the event, including LittleBigWhale, Etoiles, Ponce, Kamet0 and Gotaga, participated in the matches (the main broadcast of the tournament was held on the ZeratoR channel). The event drew over 315K Peak Viewers.
The most popular participants of the event were eliminated every day, so the audience on the second and third days was lower. In particular, the Peak Viewers number on Saturday was 232K people, and the final day of matches attracted 200K Peak Viewers.
ZeratoR, as expected, became the most watched streamer — he accumulated 65% of the tournament's total Hours Watched, and attracted 198K Peak Viewers. And also Gotaga and Kamet0 made it to the top 3 by both metrics.
The competition ranked best in the series by all core metrics except total Hours Watched, as the 2022 broadcasts were two hours shorter than the 2021 ones. The Average Viewers number of the event grew by 5%, and the Peak Viewers number increased by 26%.

ZLAN deserves to be called one of the most popular streamer events in France, and every year it gathers more and more viewers. There will be several more ZeratoR events in 2022, including the traditional Trackmania Cup in June and Z Event, which usually takes place in October or November.
