Last weekend, one of the most popular Spanish Twitch content creators, Ibai ibai Llanos, hosted the fifth Ibainefico charity event with the participation of his streamer friends. In two days, the creators managed to gather more than €200K, which will be provided to the charity organization Doctors Without Borders. Streams Charts provides an overview of the event and its viewership statistics.
The event featured 36 streamers – including ibai, Rubius, Auronplay, and TheGrefg, who were the team captains. Before the start of Ibainefico 2021, the participants of their rosters were drafted, including both streamers and former professional esports athletes: for example, creators JuanSGuarnizo and Cristini, as well as former LoL player Werlyb (ex-SK Gaming / MAD Lions).
As part of the event, streamers competed in many popular games, including League of Legends, Valorant, as well as the more casual Fall Guys, Among Us, and Mario Kart. Towards the end of the event, the team captains played a game of UNO in a 2v2 format.
In two days, Ibainefico streamers raised €100K through donations. The same amount was added to the total by ibai himself, who transferred to the fund all the money received from advertising and subscriptions during the time the event was on air.
Ibainefico 2021 was on the air for almost 15 hours, and during this time the viewers spent over 3.2M hours watching the event’s streams. The broadcasts attracted 219.7K Average Viewers and also reached 372.1K Peak Viewers at the end of the final day of the event.
The event was streamed by all of its participants, but the largest audience (not surprisingly) was gathered by the captains of the events. Most people followed Ibainefico on the broadcasts of ibai: his channel reached 153.1K Peak Viewers, as well as it amassed a total of 1.2M Hours Watched over the weekend.
Auronplay was also among the leaders in terms of these two indicators. He took the second spot among the streamers of the event in terms of Peak Viewers (110.2K), as well as occupied the third spot in terms of the total Hours Watched – in which case he was outmatched by TheGrefg, on whose broadcasts viewers spent more than 538K hours.
In total, five Ibainefico events allowed the streamers to raise over €600K. The most popular Spanish-speaking Internet celebrities regularly participate in events from ibai. For example, last year they included the streamer and musician Coscu and even the football player Sergio Aguero.
Ibai is far from the only streamer to help charities and regularly host fundraising streams. The largest stream marathon of this kind took place late October: French streamers raised €10M during Z Event 2021!
