On February 6, One True King revealed its 2024 content roadmap, adding that it hoped everyone would be excited for another year full of shows and much more. Among the more exciting news revealed were the OTK Games Expo's return, two new World of Warcraft esports events, and the announcement of veteran streamer Will Neff joining the group.
The popular influencer group also disclosed numerous new and fresh programming from its members this year. These announcements were made after its much-hyped 2024 Shareholders Meeting held on Tuesday.
OTK is renowned for organizing various game shows hosted by its content creators, video game programs, and WoW events across the year. In 2024, seven new programs will be added to the calendar to go with four returning shows.
Some exciting content that fans will get to see during 2024 are:
- Pixel Pitch: A Shark Tank-like game show held in partnership with its in-house publishing studio, Mad Mushroom, that will feature the likes of Asmongold, Esfand, and Sodapoppin. Pixel Pitch will bring in smaller indie game developers, who will pitch their ideas to a panel comprising One True King influencers and other industry leaders. These 'judges' are free to offer feedback and even help these companies in any way to help them reach the next level.
- Always On: Hosted by Emiru and ExtraEmily, it will see these two broadcasters 'connect the community to new streaming experiences and activities.'
- OTK’s Top Streamer 2024: A talent competition show to find the next big name in live streaming, applications are open. Prospects can click this link and read through all of the rules and information to understand what they need to do to participate.
- World of Warcraft: First is The WoW Games, 'a multi-day competition spanning all areas of Azeroth.' OTK has named it the 'Olympics of WoW.' Second is the OTK SoD: 1v1 Tournament which carries a $20K prize pool and will see 32 contestants battle it out in a dueling tournament in Season of Discovery on March 15 and 16.
Some older shows returning are Camp Knut, Lift-A-Thon, Creator Cafe, OTK All-Nighter, Steak & Eggs Podcast, and OTK Gameday Season 3. The OTK Film Festival, a $10K Greenscreen Film Festival that is open to everyone, will air in March. Hosted by Will Neff, it will see entries of not more than five minutes from creators, with the last date for entries being February 29, and readers can get all the details here.
Meanwhile, one news that has gotten the community hyped is the return of the OTK Games Expo, which will air live on June 4. Like last time, new and exciting upcoming games will be showcased as the community 'dives into dev interviews, playtests, and more.' It has to be noted that last year's iteration witnessed 40 gaming projects from different developers and studios presented, with WayFinder being the most talked-about title on Twitch chat.
Amouranth wants piece of OTK pie
Twitch and Kick megastar Amouranth was seemingly as excited about the above news as many followers of the media and entertainment organization. She even posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) on February 6 asking how much it would cost to join the streamer collective.
For those unaware, the American was one of the most-watched female Twitch influencers till her move to Kick last year. She has brought that momentum to the Stake-backed platform, becoming its most-watched name from the fairer sex during its first year and in January 2024. So far, neither Esfand nor Mizkif has responded to her inquiry so far, but it is safe to say that OTK's Shareholders Meeting 2024 has caused waves, and we will find out their reply to Amouranth's proposition soon enough.
