The Streamer Awards 2024 was held at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California, on February 17 and 18, with awards up for grabs in 28 categories. Since it brought together some of the industry's biggest content creators for a night of celebration and cheer, the viewership numbers saw an improvement on last year's edition.
This ceremony, which has become one of the most coveted in global live streaming, was hosted by creator QTCinderella on her Twitch channel. However, co-streaming was available, with more than 400 channels playing the action live at some point during its nearly ten-hour airtime.
Interestingly, the co-host this year was none other than veteran megastar Pokimane, with the main sponsor being AT&T, an American multinational telecommunications holding company. CDawgVA, ExtraEmily, and Will Neff were the red-carpet hosts, AustinShow served as the floor host, and Prezoh conducted backstage interviews with the winners.
Thanks to the likes of Jynxzi’s, Tyler1, Kai Cenat, and IronMouse getting their hands on trophies, this event registered 3.2M Hours Watched, 645.1K Peak Viewers, and 339.8K Average Viewers.
Kai Cenat clinched Streamer of the Year for the second year in a row while the Gamer of the Year gong went to Jynxzi. The two claimed one more award each to emerge as the only double winners alongside Quackity from The Streamer Awards 2024.

Thanks to the hype surrounding the awards function and the caliber of streamers co-casting it, including MoistCr1TiKaL, HasanAbi, Clix, and CaseOh, its live stream was able to top the record numbers from last year. Many of these online stars have been regulars, either being part of the live in-person function at the red carpet event before the main awards show or live streaming it in a sort of watch along with their audiences.
A much longer run time also no doubt played its part, alongside the lead-up to the show, where QTCinderella had to create a new channel on Twitch to collect funds for it. She was banned for this move for a short period before the platform rescinded the move, leading to quite a lot of chatter online.
Sticking with the American influencer, The Streamer Awards 2024 became her most-watched video yet, while ending third on the peak and average viewership tables. It continued a strong streak of numbers for the show, now in its third year, as these broadcasts have become her most successful ones ever.
It also became the second most popular Twitch broadcast so far this year, with only the Premios ESLAND 2024, the Spanish version of these awards, ahead of it. Interestingly, most entries on this table are esports-related, showing just how much the video game industry has a hold on the purple streaming sites' dynamics in 2024.
Looking at the chat stats of QTCinderella’s channel during the live broadcast of The Streamer Awards 2024, there were 453.4K total messages shared for a chat engagement rate of 22.4%. The total number of active chatters was 86K, with the top word in chat being the heart emoji.
Overall, this year’s show was a mighty success for QTCinderella despite the funding issues that struck a few days before it aired. It has become one of her most viewed live streams and continues to justify the hype and anticipation surrounding it, helping make it a reputed and much-loved ceremony.
