Sykkuno – results of the first month on YouTube

Sykkuno – results of the first month on YouTube
Share:

One month has passed since one of the most popular streamers in the US, Sykkuno, left Twitch and began streaming exclusively on YouTube. In the new article, Streams Charts explains why the American creator switched to the platform from Google and how his viewership statistics have changed over the first month.

First of all, this is far from being Sykkuno’s first appearance on YouTube. Even before starting his streamer career, the American ran his old channel named “Sykku”. Back in 2011, Sykkuno was actively releasing LoL and Minecraft gameplay videos. To date, this abandoned channel features almost 28K subscribers.

In 2019, the American began broadcasting on Twitch and quickly gained popularity. At the same time, Sykkuno began posting cuts of streams on his new YouTube channel, which is now the main channel with over 2.8M subscribers. Subsequently, the streamer began to distance himself from LoL in favor of trying more and more new games. In 2022, his most popular categories on Twitch were Grand Theft Auto V and Valorant.

The streamer spoke about the reason for his departure from Amazon’s platform during his first broadcast on YouTube. According to Sykkuno, the platform from Google offered him much more favorable conditions. Also, the creator did not like how Twitch employees made a typo in his nickname, writing it as “Sukkuno” in the official letter.

Sykkuno's first live stream on YouTube took place on May 3 and gathered over 41K Peak Viewers. Note that this is 33% higher than the result of the streamer's last broadcast on Twitch, which became the most popular for the whole of April.

Curiously, Sykkuno's viewership statistics remained largely unchanged since switching to another platform. The streamer's Hours Watched went down by 4%, but this is because in May he spent 5% fewer hours on the air than in April.

When it comes to Sykkuno’s Average Viewers indicator, it grew by less than 1%. This is quite surprising because, after the transition to a new platform, streamers are generally unable to reach their previous viewership figures for a while. It is worth saying that Gaming, Valorant, and Among Us were Sykkuno’s best categories during his first month on YouTube.

After switching from Twitch to YouTube, Sykkuno was congratulated by the streamers who did the same, including TimTheTatman. Earlier, we talked about his first six months on YouTube.
