In August, Twitch Rivals hosted 15 events in a wide range of disciplines, including not only the familiar Minecraft, Fortnite and Rust, but also MultiVersus' debut season. In a new article, Streams Charts tells what audience followed Twitch Rivals events in the last month of summer, and which ones were most memorable to viewers.
Rust Team Battle ft. Disguised Toast, which was followed by 356.5K Peak Viewers and 285.7K Average Viewers, became the most popular Twitch Rivals event in the final month of the summer. 2 teams of 40 streamers from North America and 2 teams of 40 streamers from Europe fought to the last survivor during the tournament. Team DisguisedToast became the event champion, while Team xQc and Team Dhalucard took second and third place respectively.
Twitch Rivals Dedsafío Minecraft 2 came second with over 335.2K Peak Viewers and over 219.1K Average Viewers. A popular Mexican streamer elded was the event's host, while more than 70 Hispanic streamers, including elspreen, juansguarnizo and elded himself took part in the event.
The annual Riot Summer Rumble ranked third with 150 streamers competing in LoL, Valorant and Teamfight Tactics during the tournament. Most popular Twitch Rivals events in August 2022
48 streamers divided into 8 teams participated in Twitch Rivals Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Showdown, the event which took fourth place in the top. Team Ponce became the event champion, with Team Rubius and Team Saar ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively. It should be noted that this was the very first Twitch Rivals event that was held in August. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Showdown was followed by over 211K Peak Viewers and the event Average Viewers numbers were almost 172.4K.
Also in August, three Road to TwitchCon ft. Fortnite Zero Build events were held for Europe, North and Latin Americas, during which the participants competed for slots for the series finale at TwitchCon San Diego 2022. There were 32 streamer trios participating in each of the tournaments. Team Archie became the European champion, Team Thiefs was the strongest team in North America, and Team Palermo was the best in Latin America. The tournament for Europe took fifth place in the top Twitch Rivals events of August, while the North American and Latin American tournaments were ranked seventh and tenth, respectively.
Twitch Rivals MultiVersus Season 1 Kick-off NA took sixth place in the top Twitch Rivals events of August, generating almost 79K Peak Viewers and 57.3K Average Viewers.
