Streams Charts continues to review the highlights of June on Twitch. Last month, viewers of the platform actively discussed gaming streams, esports, the media football league Kings League, and much more. Users showed a great interest in the virtual debates between two US presidents – Donald Trump and Joe Biden: artificial intelligence not only generates their dialogue but also responds to viewers' questions in chats. Top Twitch Streamers by Active Chatters in June 2023 (5,000+ AVG)
The audience engagement rate is the percentage of active chats from the total number of unique channel viewers. The higher this rate, the more often viewers write in the chat during the stream. The initial ranking included top channels with 100K+ subscribers, 100K+ messages on the channel, and over 5K Average Viewers.
In June, the leader in terms of the number of active chatters on the channel was American streamer Kai Cenat — his streams had over 214K people regularly engaging in the chat. Canadian streamer xQc secured second place in the ranking with 180K active chatters. Both streamers primarily streamed in the Just Chatting category.
American streamer Jynxzi, a big fan of Rainbow Six Siege, took third spot in the ranking with 172K active chatters. Argentinian streamer ElSpreen (170K active chatters), who played a lot of Rust and gave drops to viewers during the streams, took forth place. Mexican female streamer Rivers_gg closed the Top 5. On her channel, we counted 163.7K active chatters, and she attracted the largest audience during the streams of matches in the media football league Kings League.
The Top 10 channels with the most active chatters also included Tarik, ElMariana, Gaules, Valorant, and Cellbit. As can be observed, the second half of the ranking consisted of many channels that covered Valorant and CS:GO esports tournaments.
Top Twitch Streamers by Audience Engagement in June 2023 (5,000 AVG)
In June 2023, the channel RDjavi became the leader in audience engagement. Throughout the month, the streamer from the Dominican Republic regularly streamed GTA V and actively interacted with viewers. The level of audience engagement on his channel reached over 32%, with 42.2K active chatters — every third viewer of RDjavi engages in chat during his streams.
Peruvian streamer ElZeein took second place in the ranking. He didn't have as many chatters as other top participants, but they were more active. The level of audience engagement on his channel reached 27.6%. ElZeein mainly streams in the "Just Chatting" category, but also frequently streams games like Valorant or Rust.
The third position went to drb7h, one of the most popular streamers from Saudi Arabia. In June, he ranked second in total Hours Watched among his fellow countrymen, despite only having four streams for the month. As for audience engagement, the figure reached 26.3% with 30.5K active chatters. drb7h mainly streams GTA V [laying on RP servers.
Russian rapper/blogger dkincc ranked fourth. In June, he had around 27.8K active chatters, resulting in an audience engagement level of 26%. dkincc mainly hosts conversational streams in the "Just Chatting" section and occasionally invites guests or other streamers to his broadcasts.
Argentinian streamer LACOBRAAA secured fifth spot in the audience engagement ranking for June. In the first month of summer, the number of active chatters on his channel reached 55.6K, and the audience engagement level was 25.4%. LACOBRAAA primarily creates content about sports and football, discussing transfers, championship results, coach interviews, and more with viewers. He also collaborates on streams with guests, such as popular Spanish streamer ibai, who visited one of his broadcasts in June.
The second part of the Top 5 included streamers AgustinUnaplay8, RRaenee, Forever, BaityBait, and Carreraaa. The audience engagement levels on their channels ranged from 23% to 24%. Interestingly, the majority of positions in the Top were occupied by Spanish-speaking streamers specializing in conversational streams, reactions, and chat interaction. There were few channels in the Top that focused on gaming content, and not a single channel specialized in esports.
Top Twitch Streamers by Active Chatters in June 2023 (500+ AVG)
In the first half of the article, we discussed the top Twitch streamers who have long been among the most popular content creators on the platform. However, besides them, there are many other interesting creators who excel in entertaining the audience and interacting with them live. In the second part of the article, we have compiled a top list among less popular channels (with an Average viewership during streams of 500+ viewers).
SypherPK, one of the most popular Fortnite streamers, became the leader of the second part of the ranking with a lower entry threshold. In June, we counted over 62K active chatters on his streams. As usual, most of SypherPK's broadcasts were dedicated to his favorite "battle royale" game, as the third season had just started.
The second position went to the lollolacustre channel. This Italian streamer hosts broadcasts almost daily, entertaining his viewers with Minecraft gameplay. In June, there were over 61.2K active chatters on his channel.
Russian streamer skywhywalker took third place in the ranking with 54.7K active chatters. Usually, skywhywalker streams CS:GO, but in June, he also entertained viewers by streaming movies from the "Scream" franchise.
LetsHugoTV from Luxembourg had over 54.5K active chatters in June. LetsHugoTV streams every day, and last month, he often combined gaming streams with IRL content. He also did joint broadcasts with other popular streamers, such as Papaplatte and Reeze.
Coscu, a popular streamer from Argentina, ranked fifth in the ranking. In June, his channel gained slightly over 52K active chatters, largely thanks to IRL streams with guests. On his broadcasts, Coscu discussed football, played League of Legends, and slots.
In the second half of the ranking were TheKAIRI78, ESLCSGO, trumporbaiden2024, JoeBartolozzi, and Sommerset. The number of active chatters on these channels ranged from 45K to 52K people. Almost all of these channels had streams of Fortnite, Fall Guys, Only Up!, CS:GO, and similar titles. However, the channel trumporbaiden2024 stands out creatively among them. On this channel, artificial intelligence simulates debates between the two US presidents, responding to questions from viewers in the chat.
Top Twitch Streamers by Audience Engagement in June 2023 (500 AVG)
The highest audience engagement in the second top (500+ AVG) was achieved by ZAiKRx. In June, this streamer from Saudi Arabia played a lot on RP servers in GTA V and managed to have around 73.5% of his viewers actively interacting in the chat.
In second place of the list was plaqueboymax. In June, he mostly streamed in the Just Chatting category, where he interacted with viewers, recorded reactions, and did joint broadcasts with other streamers. During breaks, he also played a lot of Only Up!. The audience engagement level on his channel reached 63%.
The channel trumporbaiden2024 made it to the Top 3 in audience engagement, with over 60% of its viewers sending messages in the chat. As mentioned earlier, this channel features live debates generated by artificial intelligence between the two US presidents, Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Viewers can ask them any questions in the chat and then receive responses from the participants of the stream. Most people come to this stream for entertainment, often asking silly or provocative questions to receive a "clever answer" from the presidents.
Japanese VTuber tokoyamitowa_holo ranked fourth in the ranking, with an audience engagement level of around 60.2% in June. However, tokoyamitowa_holo has a relatively small number of active chatters, with only about 1.5K people. This is the lowest number among the top performers. The VTuber mainly played Overwatch 2 and Valorant on her streams.
Streamer BUSHWHACK18 is closing the Top 5 in audience engagement with a score of 57.7%. He was able to achieve this level of audience involvement thanks to interactive broadcasts. In June, he streamed a lot of horror games, and his viewers could send him scary notifications in real-time such as heart-wrenching screams, child cries, ghost howls, etc.
In the second half of the Top 5 in audience engagement were GranHermanoCHV, ceyto31, PUVLOO, sallerovvv, and Blueryai. They mainly focused on gaming content in GTA V and CS:GO, as well as hosted many conversational streams in Just Chatting (mostly watching YouTube videos and sharing reactions with viewers).
