With many crucial esports competitions running full steam, official broadcasting channels continued to dominate YouTube Gaming's rankings for October. League of Legends had quite a few representatives in the top ten, led by the just-concluded 2024 World Championship, while Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's regional leagues helped it maintain a heavy presence in these leaderboards.
Among streamers, too, there were a couple of esports broadcasters who made their way into the top ten standings. They also made their way to the overall top ten channels list by covering the games covered above, with one sole name coming from outside this bubble.
Top YouTube Gaming Channels in October 2024
As has been the case over the last few months, LoL and MLBB channels have dominated the top of these watch time standings. Finishing at the number one spot last month was the official LCK handle with 15.15M Hours Watched.
There was also the official LoL Esports (catering to English-speaking viewers), LoL Pacific Championship (Chinese audiences in the Taiwanese region), and Vietnam Championship Series - LMHT handles which covered this highly sought-after championship. Vietnamese LoL caster Hoàng Luân has also been busy co-streaming its matches, proving why the series is perhaps the most coveted prize in competitive video gaming today.
The official MPL Indonesia channel finished second on this table, with just 0.26% off less watch time than the top spot, mostly thanks to the record-breaking MPL Indonesia Season 14, which became one of the most-watched esports tournaments ever. It also received serious coverage from the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia channel and the popular co-caster from this Southeast Asian country, set1awanade, who has a habit of making these lists thanks to this content of Moonton's legendary mobile MOBA.
MLBB also had an entry for another regional league, with the official MPL Philippines channel hitting 3.12M HW. The remaining spot was taken by Liên Quân Mobile eSports-Garena — the official esports channel for the Vietnamese version of Arena of Valor — which continued to bring live action from the Arena of Glory Winter 2024 to fans.
Among the most-watched streamers not already mentioned above was a diverse cast hailing from as far as the Americas and South Asia. IShowSpeed, who streamed much less after returning from his travels around the SEA region, was third in October after finishing among the top names in the previous rankings.
VTubers saw a fall in their activity last month, with only one name making the top ten list this time: Miko Ch. The Japanese sensation was one of the many online stars to give plenty of time to TCG Card Shop Simulator, a relatively new simulation game in its Early Acces stage that has become a hit among many other Virtual YouTubers as well.
Brazil had plenty of representation this time in the form of star co-casters BaianoTV and Gaules alongside Garena Free Fire stars NOBRU and JotinhaTM. The first two were busy covering events in LoL and Counter-Strike 2, respectively, while the latter two continued to post content on the popular mobile battle royale shooter.
Windah Basudara and LoLzZz Gaming were the final two names on the table, with the former spending most of the month playing multiple titles like Plants vs. Zombies and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. The latter is a renowned Battlegrounds Mobile India creator in the South Asian nation who continued to upload videos related to gameplay, giveaways, and challenges.
Top YouTube Gaming US streamers in October 2024
DrDisRespect maintained his reputation as one of the eminent names in the American YouTube scene after returning from a break in early September. He played the newest CoD offering, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, with his high profile contributing to the game attracting more eyeballs and emerging as one of the most watched on the live-streaming service despite only releasing at the end of October.
Next is TimTheTatman, another popular name for Call of Duty fans, who was also busy playing a lot of the newest game. He was joined by NoahJ456 to make it three creators for the latest installment in the series, one that has received a lot of positive reviews in its short existence as a fully released title.
Ludwig also made the top five, although this marked a drop of two positions compared to the September rankings. What didn't help was that his watch time fell by 54% month on month as he was less active in October and didn't have any major events.
Valkyrae rounded off the top five for the second straight month, with a majority of her time spent playing Super Mario Party Jamboree, including with other influencers like Sykkuno, lilypichu, and ellum. It was released globally on October 17 and has found a lot of fans among players and streamers, with a lot of other famous creators like fuslie and Maximilian Dood also committing a lot of airtime to the party game.
Star Roblox creator KreekCraft continued to fly the flag high for the game by continuing his streak of making these rankings every month. He was joined in the top ten by a returning SypherPK, the legendary Fortnite creator who topped the game's HW list for influencers in October, reinforcing his status as a massive name in the community.
Recently retired Valorant pro turned streamer TenZ finished ninth for a second successive month, with his decision to step back from gaming allowing him to focus completely on content creation. Last but not least is CouRage, who also spent a lot of his time in October with Epic Games' builder shooter, covering its various live events and participating in its community tournaments alongside the likes of Ninja and TimTheTatman.
Top YouTube Gaming European Channels in October 2024
The top of this list is dominated by organization channels for Counter-Strike and Dota 2. Renowned organizer ESL has two entries in the top five, one from each game mentioned above. The ESL Counter-Strike handle, which topped the list, mostly covered matches from IEM Rio 2024, where Natus Vincere’s triumph boosted the event's viewership.
The other channel from the German company broadcasted the DreamLeague Season 24, including its closed qualifiers. The event is ongoing, meaning the ESL Dota 2 account has a chance of retaining its top ten position for the third month in a row when we review these rankings for November 2024.
BLAST Premier made another entry for CS2 on the European channels leaderboard, although it isn't the last time we will talk about the game. The Danish organization was busy live-streaming games of the BLAST World Final 2024 while also uploading reruns of the 2023 iteration, ensuring it collected a healthy 803K HW in October 2024.
Russian and Ukrainian-language channels each covering this legendary Valve shooter also found places in these top-ten standings. SL4M & Counter-Strike and CS2 Maincast took up the eighth and ninth spots, respectively, thanks to co-casting tournaments like ESL Challenger at DreamHack Atlanta, IEM Rio 2024, ESL Challenger Katowice, and Blast Premier World Final.
We move onto Spanish representation on this table, of which there are a few. Leading the charge is DjMaRiiO in the third position, accrued thanks to his extensive broadcasts of EA Sports FC 25. He is joined by countrymen VEGETTA777, Nexxuz World, and 6ixmox FF, who busied themselves playing titles like Free Fire, Ark: Survival Evolved, Grand Theft Auto V, and DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO.
Top esports channels in October 2024
Most of the names on this table have been covered in previous lists, with the only fresh name being Garena RoV Thailand, the official channel of the Thai version of Arena of Valor. It spent most of October broadcasting action from the RoV Pro League 2024 Winter, which was won by eArena, with the top five qualifying for the upcoming Arena of Valor International Championship 2024.
