The fourth edition of the highly successful La Velada del Año is just a month away, and fans can't wait to catch the action. This July 13 event will pit various Spanish-speaking content creators and influences against each other in one-on-one and multi-man boxing matches.
During the first few announcements by the show's creator, ibai, it was revealed that it would take place at the hallowed Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, home to legendary football club Real Madrid. Additionally, six fights, including a WWE-style Royal Rumble match and a 2v2 bout, were announced, with the seven artists who will be performing disclosed a bit later.
Alongside the latter update, ibai also left room for another special guest artist to be revealed on his Twitch channel on June 13, a month before showtime, depending on their availability. When the day finally arrived, even the most hardcore fans hoping for the likes of Bad Bunny or Shakira to be the surprise entrant were left shocked as that spot was handed to Will Smith.
On the back of a highly successful first few days post-release of his newest Bad Boys movie, the Hollywood megastar appeared on ibai's live stream to confirm his participation. He also said he would be singing/rapping a few of his songs, which had fans of his musical side in all kinds of knots.
The Academy Award winner also revealed to viewers that he had been working on new music recently based on his experiences over the last two years, which, in his own words, were stressful. He has 14 songs coming up, so fans can expect a few to be part of the medley when he performs at the La Velada del Año IV.

What happened at previous La Velada del Año editions
The third iteration emanated from the Civitas Metropolian Stadium, Atletico Madrid's home ground, and hit a record 3.59M Peak Viewers. Ibai's Twitch channel contributed a majority of this figure but streamers from other platforms (more than 300 channels) were also responsible for making it the most popular live stream ever on the purple platform.
The Spanish superstar's mark of 3.4M PV beat the previous record of 3.35M PV set at the second edition of La Velada del Año. It also helped him reach 11M followers on the purple platform, a club occupied by only nine other online personalities today.
