The Streamer Awards 2024, one of the most coveted awards in the industry today, is almost here. The star-studded awards function will air live from 3:00 PM (PST) / 11 PM (GMT) on February 17 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, California, with gongs in almost 30 categories up for grabs.

Jynxzi, Kyedae, CaseOh, Quackity are in the running for main awards
Among the nominees for the main awards — Gamer of the Year and Streamer of the Year — are some prominent names like Kyedae, Clix, Tarik, Shroud, CaseOh, Ironmouse, Kai Cenat, and Quackity. Rainbow Six Siege star and one of the breakout stars on the purple platform for 2023, Jynxzi, has been nominated in both categories.
Voting for nominees across the 28 categories closed on January 19, while voting for the winners concluded on February 7; readers can check out the complete contenders list here. It has to be noted that all the winners will be decided via a unique concept that hands over full control of the results to the voting public.
What happened at The Streamer Awards 2023?
The live in-person function began at the red carpet event before the festivities moved to the main awards show. Big-name influencers including HasanAbi, SqueeX, Sweet Anita, and Ludwig acted as hosts on the red carpet, with live performances from Nicki Taylor, ARIatHOME, Charming_Jo, and Yung Gravy also booked.
Coming to the awards, Tenz was handed the Gamer of the Year gong while Kai Cenat won the Streamer of the Year trophy at last year's influencer spectacle. Its success was seen in the fact that viewership numbers of the broadcast massively increased upon the 2022 figures, as the show recorded 2.3M Hours Watched, 580K Peak Viewers, and 426K Average Viewers (up by 176%, 152%, and 154%, respectively).
The live broadcast also became QTCinderella's most-watched ever and her second most popular one when looking at peak and average viewerships. Of course, the introduction of community streaming in this iteration for the first time allowed other internet stars to share the live feed and attract more attention and audiences.
