Despite the fact that the viewership performance of the most watched Twitch Teams owned by esports organizations notably worsened in February 2022, the composition of the Top 10 has barely changed since January, with only one newcomer to the chart. Here’s how the ranking looked in February.
Disclaimer: The ranking is based on the sum of hours that viewers spent watching streamers' broadcasts. Esports matches data was excluded from statistics.
Thanks to xQcOW’s immense contribution, Luminosity Gaming has been on top for quite a while now, and February wasn’t an exception. The team accumulated 25.56 million Hours Watched, showing an 18% decrease in viewership compared to last month’s results.
The second and third place have also remained unchanged, featuring TSM and NRG Esports, respectively. While TSM’s HW count marked 17.34 million Hours Watched in February (18.69% decrease), NRG Esports generated 17 million Hours Watched (6.87% decrease). The audience most actively followed TSM’s popular GTA V RP-player buddha along with TSM_ImperialHal, as well as NRG’s creators aceu, sodapoppin and Clix.
Climbing three spots in the rankings, Team Liquid was one of the very few teams in the rankings that improved their viewership last month. Having accumulated 13.8 million Hours Watched, Team Liquid improved by 15.28%, with the highest contributor being Rakin. The Brazilian streamer was streaming mostly Lost Ark, the popular MMOARPG that recently became the most popular category on Twitch three days before its full release.
Similarly to the Top 3, team T1 kept its fifth position despite a slight, 14.44% decline in viewership. At the beginning of February, the organization parted ways with its star creator loltyler1, whose contribution last month made up to 55% of the team’s total HW count — 11.85 million Hours Watched. However, loltyler1 remained in the T1’s Twitch lineup for now, which allowed the community to keep its position in the rankings. Once he is removed from the team, its viewership is expected to drop considerably.
With 11.64 million Hours Watched, Cloud9 is yet another team that managed to keep its rank while accumulating 14.59% less HW than in January. The club’s most popular creator is Korean variety streamer ddahyoni, followed by TenZ, forsen and 1DrakoNz.
Next is team LOUD, which managed to improve its position by one. In February, the team amassed 8.12 million Hours Watched, which is 27.11% lower than its mark from January. Loud's most watched streamer remains to be loud_coringa, who contributed over 57% to the team's total HW count last month.
100 Thieves returns to the chart after dropping out in January, with a mark of 7.89 million Hours Watched, showing a 28.16% growth. The top 100Thieves streamers in February were fuslie, MrSavage and Kyedae, with all reaching over 1M Hours Watched.
Closing February’s Top 10 are FaZe and Sentinels, whose rankings remained unchanged in February — 9th and 10th place, respectively. Team FaZe accumulated 7.77 million Hours Watched (22% decrease), with its audience most actively following NICKMERCS, whose viewership accounted for more than 40% of FaZe’s total HW. Team Sentinels amassed 7.38 million Hours Watched (17.52% decrease) thanks to its most popular Valorant streamers sinatraa, ShahZaM and TenZ.
