Twitch is the home of thousands of content creators that are always pushing the realm of creativity. Streamers are always trying to create original content for their audience, to give them the best watching experience possible. From streamers that organized original events to content creators who play games in an unorthodox way, we decided to do a list with ten of the most unique streams of 2022.
MissMikkaa — Finishing Elden Ring on a dance pad
MissMikkaa is a Swedish variety streamer focused on RPG and action games. She likes challenges and is known in the gaming community for beating Elden Ring with just one hand, a great feat that not many are capable of. However, MissMikkaa takes the word “challenge” very seriously, and beating Elden Ring with one hand wasn’t enough for her. The streamer decided to beat the game while playing on a dance pad, which is already hard, but she did it with her character being only on LVL 1. It wasn’t an easy task, but MissMikkaa wouldn't let that dissuade her, and after many hours she was able to complete the game, beating the numerous bosses Elden Ring has. You can find her regularly streaming on Twitch while playing on her dance pad, and trying to complete other games such as God of War.
In the stream where MissMikkaa finally slayed Elden Ring last boss, the Elden Beast, she had 1.9K PV that gathered to see that epic moment. Her viewers watched the broadcast for 8.7K hours, and the stream had 1.4K AV.
DeanoBeano — Using instruments as gaming controller
When we are talking about unorthodox ways to play a game, we have to mention DeanoBeano. The North American streamer and drummer is well known in the gaming community, especially in the FPS one, for using various instruments to play games. He uses a flute, drums, guitars, and other instruments as a controller, making his way to play games unique. The best part is that DeanoBeano excels at playing games with all these instruments, being pretty good in games such as Call of Duty:Warzone, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Fall Guys, and even Street Fighter.
As for his opponents, none one likes to die in a competitive game, but when you get killed by someone playing on a flute, well, let’s just say it has a special taste. Despite not having that many viewers, DeanoBeano was invited for the launch event of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, one of the most anticipated games of the year. In the launch event of the game, DeanoBeano gave other content creators and CoD pros a taste of what it feels like to be killed by someone who has an instrument as his gaming control. If for most gamers the debate between controller or keyboard is a big one, for DeanoBeano any instrument will suffice.
DeanoBeano broadcast on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launch event had a duration of 5 hours and had 111 PV. He killed other content creators and even CoD world champion and legend of the game Crimsix.

Disaster Chefs had the goal to showcase the streamer's culinary talents through four episodes and was heavily influenced by the popular show Master Chef. It was a very entertaining show, with very funny moments, but also a lot of great dishes prepared by the streamers. In the end, it was the duo of ex-professional League of Legends player Werlyb and social media star Paula Gonu who won the event and took $40K home.
In the grand final of the event, 259K simultaneous viewers tuned in to see which duo would be victorious, in a broadcast that had a little bit over 4 hours of airtime. Ibai viewers watched his stream for 939K hours, and the broadcast had 208K Average Viewers.

Day one of the event was watched for 195K hours, with 52K PV gathering to see how the teams would be assembled, and the first challenges of the event.
KeatDawg — Coming up with an unusual way to play Jump King
When we talk about original content we need to mention KeatDawg. The North American streamer created a very unique and fun way, maybe not fun for himself, to play Jump King. KeatDawg developed a system that dunks him on a tub of water when the streamer dies in any given game. He sits on his chair that is right above the tub of water, and when he dies or falls, he gets dunked into the tube, but his keyboard and mouse stay safe. During his Jump King play-through, he fell 959 times, which was very fun for the viewers but not so much for him. KeatDawg continues to stream JumpKing, but he also plays Valorant quite a lot. If Call of Duty: Warzone players go to the Gulag when they die, KeatDawg goes to the water tank. On day six of his Jump King marathon, KeatDawg had 103 PV, 74 AV, and streamed for almost 3 hours.

In an event that was planned, and scripted, despite leaving some space for improvisation. To make this event possible, Jerma hired circus performers, professional baseball players, and actors. Two teams were created, the California Circus and the Maryland Magicians, and Jerma was the director behind this live comedy show. During the 4 hours it was streamed, the game had multiple funny moments, with traps, sabotages, cheating, and everything in between, that made the event even more entertaining to the viewers at home.

But, it was in 2018 that he truly started to stream regularly, which helped him grow his following base. He normally streams Just Chatting or plays World of Warcraft. In July of this year, Knut put in motion an event he was thinking about doing for quite some time. Camp Knut was one of the most unique events in Twitch history. Some of the biggest streamers in the platform attended the event, which consisted of content creators going on a rigorous diet and training routine, to demonstrate that streamers can have a healthy lifestyle. When most streaming events consist of content creators playing games, having an event like Camp Knut that wants to help people improve their lifestyle, get healthier, and that motivated many viewers to embark on the same journey the streamers did, is something that deserves a round of applause. The event was watched for 7.7 million hours and had 96K Peak Viewers, with most of the participants streaming the event from their own channels.
Squeezie — GP Explorer
Squeezie is a French content creator and is arguably the most popular French-speaking gamer in the streaming world. He does a lot of let's play, vlogs, and also some very cool and unique events. This event also helped promote motorsports to a younger audience. The stream had 1 million Peak Viewers and was watched for 3.8 million hours. It gathered the attention of thousands of viewers and had a very interactive chat.
Emilycc — The longest uncapped subathon on Twitch
Last but not least we have Emilycc. She is a North American streamer, that started her career in content creation in 2016. Just chatting is her main streaming category, but Emilycc also streams a plethora of games, such as Overwatch 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2. What is unique about Emilycc is that she is always live, as the streamer has the longest Uncapped Subathon (353 days and counting). On her stream, she does everything from normal tasks such as walking her dog, or preparing dinner, to playing games and sleeping. In the last month, she had 401 PV, and viewers watched her broadcast for 158K hours.
ibai - La Velada Del Año 2
As mentioned previously ibai is an expert when it comes to organizing unique events, and no event in the history of streaming was more original and bigger than “La Velada Del Año 2”. This time ibai convinced some of the top Spanish-speaking creators to compete in a boxing match. But it wasn't a simple boxing match, it had performances by some of the biggest Spanish-speaking artists in the world, a professional boxing caster, referee, and even coaches that excelled in the sport. The event happened in a full stadium, where hundreds of fans were cheering the participants. It broke Twitch viewership record becoming the most popular stream of all time with 3.3 million Peak Viewers.
There are many more unique streamers on Twitch, and other streaming platforms, that create original content daily. Streams such as the QTCinderella's Streamer Awards, TheGrefg's Premios Esland or ibai's FIBA 3v3 event, are other unique streams that happened this year. It’s because of streamers like that the streaming community continues to grow. Making it more fun and entertaining for people to watch streams. Hopefully, these content creators will continue to come up with great ideas in the future.
