Stream Charts sums up the results of Twitch for July 2023. Last month, the platform saw a sharp increase in Peak Viewers, all thanks to Spanish streamer ibai and his broadcast of the boxing show event La Velada Del Año III. The stream attracted over 3.4 million Peak Viewers, setting a new platform record.
The most popular female streamer of the month was rivers_gg from Mexico. Interestingly, she also participated in a boxing match at La Velada Del Año III, where she fought against Mayichi.

As for Twitch's overall statistics, there were no other dramatic changes besides Peak Viewers. In July, the total number of active channels increased slightly, but their PV numbers decreased slightly.

The most popular category on Twitch in July was Just Chatting, which accumulated nearly 281.6 million Hours Watched, approximately 15% more than in June. Grand Theft Auto V reclaimed its second place in the ranking, after losing it to Diablo IV last month. The Rockstar game saw its Hours Watched increase from 90 million to 134.2 million in the second month of summer. League of Legends rounded out the Top 3 with 106 million HW, approximately 13% more than in June.
Compared to the previous month, Valorant lost about 5% of its total Hours Watched but maintained its fourth-place position. It is worth noting that in June, there were no affiliate leagues or major tournaments like VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo in the Valorant professional scene.
The main audience was drawn to the Ascension tournaments and Last Chance Qualifier matches. In July, the CS:GO and Dota 2 categories accumulated 58.3 million and 54.9 million Hours Watched, respectively. This represents a growth of almost 32% and 27% in their viewership compared to the previous month, thanks to high tournament activity (BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023, The Bali Major 2023, and Riyadh Masters 2023).
As for other disciplines, Diablo IV and Rust dropped out of the Top 10 categories in July. They were replaced by Teamfight Tactics and Apex Legends, which accumulated 39.8 million and 33.4 million Hours Watched, respectively.

The most watched channel in July 2023 was the channel of Spanish streamer ibai. Last month, his streams accumulated 28.7 million HW, which is twice as much as his closest competitor and four times more than ibai had in June. Throughout the month, the Spanish streamer actively covered Kings League, League of Legends, and Valorant matches, but the highest viewership came from his stream of La Velada Del Año III. The boxing show event amassed 22.6 million HW and reached 3.4 million Peak Viewers, setting a new record for ibai's channel and a new record for Twitch.
Kings League first year is a huge success — 79.5M hours of watch time
Japanese streamer fps_shaka accumulated over 12.5 million HW in the month. This was enough to surpass other streamers and claim the second spot after ibai. Shaka is well-known as a popular community caster for Valorant, but in July, he focused much more on streams of GTA V and Street Fighter 6.
In third place in the ranking is the channel of the Spanish media football league, Kings League, which amassed 11.4 million HW in June thanks to its broadcasts of the second season matches. It is worth mentioning that, alongside the men's league, the organizers also launched the first season of the women's Queens League during the summer.
Portuguese streamer Gaules secured fourth place with 9.6 million HW. As usual, Gaules' channel had almost round-the-clock streams, including replays of broadcasts. The streamer mainly covered CS:GO tournaments, including IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 replays of broadcasts.
Japanese streamer darumaisgod, a big fan of GTA V and Valorant, rounded out the Top 5. In June, his channel accumulated 8.5 million HW, largely thanks to the broadcasts from various RP servers.
In the second half of the Top 10 were the channels of Russian-language studio Paragon, as well as the personal channels of streamers Kai Cenat, k3soju, Papaplatte and handongsuk. The studio accumulated its Hours Watched by covering the Riyadh Masters 2023 Dota 2 tournament, while the other streamers spent most of their Airtime in the Just Chatting and Teamfight Tactics categories.

If we exclude organizational channels from the rankings, Brazilian streamer Cellbit and Japanese streamer stylishnoob4 make it into the Top 10. They accumulated 6.1 million and nearly 6 million Hours Watched, respectively, thanks to their Minecraft and GTA V streams.
It is worth noting that compared to June, popular content creators such as Tarik, xQc, shroud, Quin69, Ironmouse, LOUD Coringa, and HasanAbi dropped out of the overall Top 10 ranking. Therefore, there have been quite significant changes in the ranking. The relative lull in tournaments influenced the popularity and positions of some streamers. As for xQc, after signing the contract with Kick, he generally streamed much less on Twitch.

The most popular female streamer on Twitch in July 2023 was rivers_gg from Mexico. Her channel accumulated nearly 3.7 million HW last month, which is twice as much as the previous month. Riversgg frequently streamed matches of her teams in the Kings League. Interestingly, it was the female squad of her club, PIO FC, that became the champion of the first season of the Queens League.
Ukrainian VTuber anny, who resides in Tokyo, takes second place in the ranking with 1.83 million HW. Throughout July, she conducted regular streams as part of a subathon, interacted with viewers in the Just Chatting category, drew anime girls, and watched funny videos on YouTube. It's worth noting that she was able to gain 300K Twitch followers during the subathon.
American streamer JenFoxxx took the third position in the ranking with 1.8 million HW. In July, she played a lot of Diablo IV, including with her friends during a LAN Party stream. That stream gathered 32.2K PV, which became the second-highest result in JenFoxxx's channel history (missing the record by only a couple hundred viewers).
Dda_ju from South Korea and akamikarubi from Japan also made it into the Top 5. Last month, they accumulated 1.53 million and 1.49 million Hours Watched, respectively, thanks to their streams of MapleStory and GTA V.
Speaking of other ranking changes, it is worth noting a significant decrease for ironmouse and Jinnytty. The former was the undisputed leader in the June ranking, but last month, her HW number decreased from 6.84 million to 1.44 million. Overall, after her subathon, she streamed less, which is reflected in the channel's statistics. As for Jinnytty, one of South Korea's most popular streamers, she dropped from second to ninth place — in July, her HW number decreased by almost half compared to June.
